As First Responders to fires, public safety emergencies, and disasters, District No. 3 Fire Department protects the lives and property of residents, businesses, and visitors to the District and its mutual aid communities. The Department advances public safety through its fire prevention and education outreach programs. The commitment of the Officers and Members to their community, their duty and each other enables the Department to make significant contributions to the safety of the District and its mutual aid partners.

D3FD, along with Cumberland Head Fire Department, conducted live-burn evolution training at the County Training Tower. South Plattsburgh Fire's 32-AIR provided logistical support during training.

On Sunday,17 September, D3FD will host an Open House at the Wallace Hill Station. Apparatus rides, live demonstrations, and station tours are planned. Take a moment to stop by and say hello, and see what it is that we do in our community!
